I was invited to attend a hip-hop show over in Windsor, Ontario at The Windsor Beer Exchange hosted by King Castro. The event reminded of the shows hosted by Killa Kaun in Detroit, MI at the Bullfrog. The venue is what you would expect from a bar hosting a hip-hop show. Dim atmosphere, decent priced yet amazing drinks, good music.

The event itself took place upstairs while downstairs there was a rock show, somewhat cool and ironic.

The highlight of the event definitely had to be Lifted Life, J Con and Con R. Those three acts knew how to rock a crowd with their signature sounds. Lifted Life had a sound akin to Wolf with a hardcore vibe. J Con’s sound was reminiscent of late 90s rap. A vibe that placed you in the mood to rebel. Con R hit the stage with a thick accent that match his cool persona. Once the beat dropped however, he laced story telling rhymes over hard hitting drums and bass. He definitely rocked the crowd and had everyone’s hands up. It was definitely a nice experience.
